Bunea Daniel Award

This award is given annually to recognize, encourage and stimulate the contribution of a member of the SRB to develop biomaterials field in Romania, considered to be relevant for that year, manifested both by the prestigious scientific papers and other activities (teaching, research, organization, promotion). Requires the presentation of a work by the candidates at the annual conference of SRB in that year. Award is granted with a diploma and a tax exemption at conferences organized by the SRB and support its participation in the European Conference of Biomaterials (participation fees and travel expenses) the following year. Nominations for the prize is received by the Board of the SRB, which will decide soon after the conduct of the annual conference of the SRB.

Mr. IOVU HORIA (University Politehnica of Bucharest)

DANIEL BUNEA Award for 2012 was given to:
Ms. MOLDOVAN MARIOARA (University Babeş-Bolyai Cluj-Napoca)

SRB Scholarship

This scholarship is awarded annually to encourage and stimulate the development of a young member of the SRB to work in biomaterials, regarded as the most promising for the year, implemented by the relevant scientific papers and other activities (teaching, research, organization, promotion) . The prize consists of a diploma granting tax exemption to the conferences organized by the SRB and financial support of EUR 500 for next year. Requires the presentation of a work by the candidates at the annual conference of SRB in that year. Applicants must be aged maximum 35. Nominations for the prize is received by the Board of the SRB, which will decide at the annual conference of the SRB.

BIOMAT-INOVA Competition

The Scientific Association ROMANIAN SOCIETY OF BIOMATERIALS organizes the national competition of research projects BIOMAT-INOVA, in accordance with Article 6 of the Statute which mentions that one of the objectives of the association science is "to coordinate and / or enforce national and / or research topics related to the procurement, testing, processing and use of biomaterials and biomaterials applications. "

The major objective of this competition is to support research projects Scientific Association members ROMANIAN SOCIETY OF BIOMATERIALS working in healthcare by funding research and development projects with high degree of innovation with concrete results and real impact on the market.
