We would like to remind you that the call for abstracts to the 2nd BioMaH International Conference “Biomaterials and Novel technologies for Healthcare” is open. The conference will be held in Frascati (Rome area) (Italy) 8-11th October, 2018.

The 2nd BioMaH Conference is an international interdisciplinary forum of major experts in the field of healthcare sciences, contributing in solving challenging problems in medicine.

The second conference edition is designed to facilitate medical doctors, scientists, and professionals in the field in sharing their needs and in discussing possible research solutions, in an international atmosphere, with keynote, oral and poster presentations.

The topics covered are bioactive materials, novel technologies and tissue engineering strategies for:
-Cancer: 3D models for tumour research;
-Cardiovascular system;
-Dentistry;
-Musculosceletal apparatus / Orthopaedics;
-Spectroscopy based technologies for Clinics;
-Translating biomaterials discoveries to the clinic: are there alternatives to animal models? (debate).

However, the conference also accommodates any topic in biomaterials science research.
A list of confirmed INVITED Speakers and ORAL presentations is available of the conference website.
We believe that this international event will expand our horizon in biomaterials and related technologies. Therefore, we cordially invite you to attend the conference.

On behalf of the organizing committee, it is my pleasure to invite you to
submit your abstract at Bioceramics 30, the 30th anniversary edition of the
Symposium and Annual Meeting of the International Society for Ceramics in
Medicine, which will be held in Nagoya from October 26‒29, 2018.

The scope of Bioceramics 30 is to bring together researchers, clinicians,
engineers and students from all over the world to discuss recent scientific
developments and applications of ceramics in medicine. Intensive discussion
among participants with different background will bring innovative ideas and
strategic development for next generation bioceramics and their related
technology. The conference will also provide active opportunities for
students to promote their own development in the professional forum of an
international meeting.

Joint Event Under MARIE & NMP-REG Projects

Participation of SRB at the "Joint Event Under MARIE & NMP-REG Projects: Responsible Research and Innovation in Nanotechnologies"

On December 13, 2017, the SRB representatives participated in the "Joint Event Under MARIE & NMP-REG Projects: Responsible Research and Innovation in Nanotechnologies" meeting at the Politehnica University in Bucharest.
The event focused on presenting a series of good practices from several European regions in Italy, Germany, Greece, Spain, Finland, Ireland and Romania, and debating opportunities and challenges related to the responsible development of nanotechnologies.

SRB was already part of the NMP-REG stakeholder group, which aims to improve the implementation of regional nanotechnology, advanced materials and manufacturing policies by facilitating their integration into industrial activity and with participation in this Working meeting has also become part of the MARIE project stakeholders' group that aims to improve regional public policies that support responsible research and innovation in designing, producing and distributing innovation in smart specialization sectors. As such, SRB actively participates in the dialogue between key public, academic, private stakeholders and representatives of society for a unified approach to addressing issues related to the development of nanotechnology.
