Responsible Research and Innovation: A key component for Horizon 2020 funded projects over the period 2018-2020

According Work Program 2018-2020 "Nanotechnologies, Advanced Materials, Biotechnology and Advanced Manufacturing and Processing" Horizon 2020 research and innovation is a key responsibility to be integrated into the proposals. The program also states that it is necessary to develop a set of uniform principles and internationally harmonized to ensure the production of safe and responsible use of nanomaterials.

Given the importance of this issue, the Romanian Society of Biomaterials continues its collaboration with project partners NMP-REG: Delivering Nanotechnologies, Materials and Production to advanced manufacturing Région "(https://www.interregeurope.eu/nmp-reg/), where stakeholder since the beginning of the implementation of the initiative and joined this month (December 2018) of the regional working group of the project "MARIE: Mainstreaming Responsible Innovation in European S3"

Welcome to BIOMMEDD 2018, September 27-29th, Cluj-Napoca, Romania

BiomMedD'2018 First Call

BiomMedD'2018 Web Site

The 8th International Conference “Biomaterials, Tissue Engineering & Medical Devices” BIOMMEDD’2018 will be hosted at the NAPOCA HOTEL Cluj-Napoca.
Abstracts for oral and poster presentations are invited and should be submitted using the online abstract submission system.

The aim of this event is to bring together scientists from biomaterials, medical devices, and tissue engineering research with clinicians from medical fields who use in clinical practice the implants and prostheses made from various biomaterials. Clinicians from different specialties (dentistry, orthopedics, and neurosurgery, cardiovascular and other surgery) will be here to present their results on the clinical performance of current medical devices and debates on the translation of biomaterials and tissue engineering research into clinical practice. The choice of the keynote speakers will bring on stage home some of the best scientists from the field of biomaterials, tissue engineering, and medical devices.

Roundtable discussions intended to promote interdisciplinary research projects will be organized and a technical exhibition will run in parallel with the scientific sessions.

The conference will also host a Young Scientists Forum who could promote new ways of communicating and thinking on the research and educational aspects, and the General Assembly of the Romanian Society for Biomaterials.

On behalf of the organizing committee, it is my pleasure to invite you to
submit your abstract at Bioceramics 30, the 30th anniversary edition of the
Symposium and Annual Meeting of the International Society for Ceramics in
Medicine, which will be held in Nagoya from October 26‒29, 2018.

The scope of Bioceramics 30 is to bring together researchers, clinicians,
engineers and students from all over the world to discuss recent scientific
developments and applications of ceramics in medicine. Intensive discussion
among participants with different background will bring innovative ideas and
strategic development for next generation bioceramics and their related
technology. The conference will also provide active opportunities for
students to promote their own development in the professional forum of an
international meeting.
